Terms ELIGIBILITY Video submission is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who are not prohibited by any law or regulation from entering and who have access to the Internet. No submission fee or other payment is required to submit, nor is the purchase of any item or service necessary. A video that has won a prize in a national or international competition or that has been used for commercial purposes (i.e. generated payment) is not eligible for submission. Area Media Inc. reserves the right at their sole discretion to reject any videos which are deemed to be offensive, obscene, defamatory or in any other way inappropriate or incompatible with the design esthetics of the www.area-daily.com website. SUBMISSION PROCEDURE Videos must be submitted online. By submitting an submission submitters will be deemed to have fully read these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them. There is no limit to the number of video submissions per person. Videos must be about interesting travel experiences and adventures, hidden discoveries, and memorable places and things to see and do around the globe. Videos must be 3 minutes or less and less than 30 MB in size. FLA format is preferred, but not required. DISPLAY OF THE VIDEOS By submitting a video to Area Media Inc. all ssubmitters agree to the video being displayed, together with the submitter’s name, city, state, country, title of the submission, and brief description of the submission on www.area-daily.com. JUDGING The editors of Area Media Inc. will determine the videos shown on www.area-daily.com. The decision criteria will include: content, creativity and originality. The decision of the editors is at their sole discretion. COPYRIGHT It is a condition of video submission that each video submitted is the original work of the submitter and that the submitter owns full unconditional worldwide copyright and all other intellectual rights in it. By submitting any such video each submitter warrants to Area Media Inc. that it does not infringe the privacy, copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party. USE OF THE VIDEOS BY AREA MEDIA INC. It is a condition of video submission that in relation to each video submitted to the competition the submitter thereby grants to Area Media Inc. a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty free, transferable, worldwide license to use, copy, publicly display, distribute, sub-license, modify, make derivative works and otherwise fully exploit such video for all commercial purposes, including marketing and promotion of Area Media Inc., through any media outlet and in any format without attribution of copyright to the submitter and without any payment, compensation or permission. LIABILITY Videos are uploaded onto the competition web-site at the submitter’s risk and Area Media Inc. cannot accept any liability for the unauthorized duplication or use of videos submitted to the web-site. Area Media Inc. will not be liable for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible submitter's ability to submit a video.
