Go green in style. Stay in your own private jungle cottage perched high in the forest at Jungle Bay Resort & Spa, an eco-resort on 55 acres of lush tropical jungle in natural paradise Dominica. The resort is completely eco-friendly. During construction, the owners hired farmers from the failing banana industry, some of whom were also trained to handcraft furniture for the guestrooms. Other initiatives include a fund that offers loans to entrepreneurs to develop organic produce and handicrafts for the resort, and a plan to someday power the lodge using only renewable energy.
