Tired of staying at the posh Four Seasons? If you’re looking for accommodations that are fun and funky, try your very own Mount Rainier treehouse.
It’s like having your own state park for a weekend, with a clear mountain stream flowing by your cabin -- except that your cabin is 50 feet up in a giant cedar tree with a view seen only by the birds!
This privately-owned, eco-friendly property has two different structures nestled in the trees—a rustic cabin (you’ll feel like Jack and the Beanstock) and an observatory with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is basic: a sleeping loft with two double beds, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and observation room. Skylights give a clear view of Mount Rainier's summit, while the sun provides solar energy and Bill Compher, the friendly owner, hauls fresh water up every day from the rushing stream below.
We suggest picking up some food and a bottle of local Cabernet and settling in for a night of stargazing.
