Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. That’s the
mantra of future-friendly home décor and lifestyle
store 3R Living
in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The brainchild of husband-and-wife
Samantha Delman-Caserta and Mark Caserta (he’s an
environmental lobbyist and she’s a former retail buyer),
this lifestyle store offers fairly traded and
sustainable products for the home, and is clearly
stocked by people with an eye for style.
We love the bamboo cutting boards, the note cards made
from recycled paper pulp and embedded with flower seeds
(which can be planted in the ground after use),
and Mrs. Meyer's all-vegan, heavenly smelling
household cleaners in lavender, geranium or lemon verbena.
Not only that, but they accept used batteries,
cell phones, ink cartridges, DVD’s,
and CD’s for recycling. How’s that
for making the world a little better place.
