Celebrating the achievements of Christian Dior (whose 1947 couture collection shocked and delighted the fashion world and put the venerable Parisian fashion house on the map), Balenciaga, Norman Hartnell, Balmain, Givenchy and other fashion visionaries, this exhibit explores the creation of couture design from the post-war era through the global success of the major fashion brands in the 1950s with over 100 gowns and exquisitely tailored pieces on display.
