THE ULTIMATE RUSH

The ultimate adrenaline kick. Ride the Cresta in St. Moritz, the only one of its kind in the world.

Imagine shooting head first down an insanely steep ice run, three quarters of a mile long, at over 90 miles an hour on a tiny skeleton sled a mere 6 inches above the ground.

The notorious ice run has been built from scratch every year since 1885 using the natural contours of the valley and earth banks to provide a framework on which to pile the snow. It winds from above the Leaning Tower in St. Moritz down a steep gully through ten sharp turns, past the tiny hamlet of Cresta, to the village of Celerina.

Anyone who gets started on Cresta sliding is likely to be hooked for good. As the first Lord Brabazon of Tara once wrote, "The Cresta is like a woman with this cynical difference - to love her once is to love her always."

To try Cresting, contact the St. Moritz Cresta Club. Although a private club, let us fill you in on a little secret - the club allows non-members to complete a run. And they’ll outfit you with the right equipment and give you proper instructions.

Let's Cresta!
