Art lovers unite. This weekend is Art Basel Miami Beach (Dec 6-9), the American sister of Art Basel Switzerland, and if you haven’t already booked one of South Beach’s hippest hotels, hop a last minute flight to Miami and join the gathering of art lovers ogling the work of over 2,000 artists. This cultural barbiturate is an international art show combined with parties, special exhibits, and events in music, film, architecture and design. 200 leading art galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia will be exhibiting.

And when you’ve had your fill of art, head over to Miami’s Design District for Design Miami, a gathering of the best international designers exhibiting the best in contemporary design.

And don’t leave town without hitting Photo Miami, the weekend’s latest event, where 50 galleries will be exhibiting the world’s most interesting photo-based artwork, including video and multi-media works.
