Movies, movies, movies. If you happen to be wandering through eastern Germany this summer, get a shot of cinema at Dresden’s Film Nights on the Elbe, running through the end of August.
The River Elbe winds its way through the city of Dresden, lined by broad meadows and parks that reach right into the city center. On warm summer nights both current and classic films are screened alfresco in a meadow-turned-open-air-cinema against the backdrop of the city’s historic skyline.
Along with over fifty film screenings, there are also a number of outdoor concerts (Nelly Furtado and R.E.M. are both on this year’s program).
So grab a picnic and bring on the Coen Brothers!
