The Engadine Valley becomes a sailors' mecca from Sep 2-7 as the world’s sailing elite descend on St. Moritz and compete for prizes and points at the St. Moritz Match Race on the Lake of St. Moritz.
Think dueling and jousting, but on the water – Match Race is one of the most exciting competitions in sailing, pitting two crews directly against each other. Some of the world’s best Match Racers will be on the starting line as eight of the top ten sailors from the ISAF world ranking list have signed up. In addition, young talents like Adam Minoprio from New Zealand and Torvar Mirsky from Australia will be there.
While in town, sleep at Badrutt’s Palace, the definition of European glamour. Everyone from Greta Garbo and Charlie Chaplin to Roger Moore and Hugh Grant have slept here.
