Culture junkies should head to town Oct 25, the Lange Nacht der Museen or Long Night at the Museum, to explore the city’s favorite treasures. Over 70 of the city's museums and galleries stay open until 2am and a single €15 ticket gives you access to all of them. Add to this music and parties and you have a recipe for a fun evening.
Check out the Alte Pinakothek for old masters, the Pinakothek der Moderne for 20th-century painting, design and graphic arts, and the Haus der Kunst for rotating exhibitions, as well as smaller museums like Villa Stuck and the Lenbachhaus.
