GEAR HEAD

Ready, set, race! For a little creativity and competitive fun, check out the Red Bull Soapbox Race. This unique competition brings amateur drivers, gear heads and adrenaline junkies together to design and build the most outrageous, human-powered soapbox cars, then compete against the clock in a downhill race.

This Saturday, Oct 4, the fun comes screeching into Cincinnati’s Mount Adams area as 40 teams put their skills to the test driving their homemade human-powered dream machines down the urban 1/4-mile "track".

Next up, Oct 18, Red Bull Soapbox Race makes its San Francisco debut as more than 30 teams of gear heads and auto amateurs speed down Dolores Street striving for soapbox stardom. In a city known for its eccentricity and flair, expectations are high, so while engineering prowess is required, originality is a must!

Finally, on Oct 25, racers will speed down Trading Post Road in Red Rocks Park, Colorado.

Admission is free. Pits open at 11am, first race at 1pm.
