Giving meets glamour at the third-annual Design Cares event on April 30 at The Armory in New York City. Join the fashion flock for Kaleidoscope of Dreams, a runway show of exclusive evening gowns by the world’s leading designers including Versace, Gucci, Carolina Herrera, Catherine Malandrino, Chado Ralph Rucci, Diane Von Furstenberg, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs Collection, Michael Kors, Nicole Miller, Vera Wang, and Yigal Azrouel to name a few, modeled by socialites, celebrities, and mannequins alike. Every dress seen on the catwalk will be auctioned off at the event and online to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers.
In addition to the runway show from top designers, two relative unknowns (for now!) will be presenting their designs. Two young girls, St. Jude cancer patients with fashion designer dreams, have sketched gowns that will be created for the runway by Christian Siriano, winner of Project Runway Season 4, and Tian Justman, an emerging designer and former St. Jude patient and cancer survivor. Siriano will play double-duty for the night: co-hosting the event along with Chanel Iman and Phillip Bloch.
