FANTASY ISLAND

Every once in a while I end up somewhere I thought I'd never have the chance to visit. A trip to Musha Cay in the Bahamas was one of these places -- a magical private island getaway, not as well known as other retreats such as Necker Island, but just as secluded.

Getting there is quite easy; a short flight from Florida to the island of Great Exuma, then a quick transfer by private boat. Upon arrival, Fantasy Island immediately springs to mind. The island, consisting of five villas, is rented to only one party at a time. From the artfully designed Pier House, a 3,200 square foot cottage with a pier extending out on to the blue waters, to the almighty Highview, a 10,000 square foot masterpiece sitting on the island's highest point with 360 degree views of Musha Cay and its surrounding islands, each villa is luxurious and distinct.

"What do you do on a private island?" I thought to myself. Well, the answer is "nothing much." Oh, there's the occasional jetting around on wave runners, snorkeling trips, fine dining, even movies on the beach if you want. You see, on Fantasy Island, um, I mean Musha Cay, whatever you desire is conjured up for you. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? If you can afford it... absolutely!"

With all these magical experiences, it's only fitting that this place of beauty and elegance, where all you desire is conjured up in an instant, is owned by none other than the king of magic and illusion himself, Mr. David Copperfield.

Safe Travels,
