OUT & ABOUT

Winter, spring, summer or fall, Toronto is sure to satisfy. So whatever your passion, check out some of these fun things to see and do in this cosmopolitan city:

Don your scarf and hat and check out the WinterCity Festival, currently happening, a city-wide celebration of culture, creativity, and cuisine. From January 29 to February 11, the city will be bursting with culinary experiences, free entertainment at Nathan Phillips Square, and a showcase of Toronto's vibrant arts scene.

Want something a little more low key? Tour Allan Gardens, a unique botanical garden free to the public. The conservatory will keep you warm amidst beautiful plants and flowers, and serve as a reprieve from the winter's cold.

Stroll through Kensington Market. With its colorful fruit stands, thrift stores, pubs, and boutique shops, this market draws an eclectic crowd of people. Check the web site for a schedule of the many happenings on Sunday afternoons.

For the sports-minded, visit the Hockey Hall of Fame or in the summer months, catch a Blue Jay's game at Rogers Centre, also offering tours.

Grab a drink at the rooftop bar at the Drake Hotel, or hit one of the many bars and pubs in the Yorkville area on Yonge or Bloor streets. The shopping here is pretty good too!
